info
Vincent Dumay is an architect based between Sweden and France, exploring new building practices with a focus on how architecture can respond to climate and biodiversity crises. Graduated from École d’Architecture Paris-Est in 2015, he is currently engaged in the CRAterre post-degree programme (2024–2026), focusing on earthen architecture and the development of sustainable construction practices. His work highlights biobased and geosourced materials and takes shape through small-scale installations where the act of building itself becomes a laboratory for experimentation and learning. These projects are part of a continuous educational process, both within academia and in collaboration with craftsmen, enabling the acquisition and transmission of knowledge to participants and a wider public. His practice is part of a broader movement in experimental and sustainable architecture, aiming to demonstrate how these methods can be integrated into contemporary construction while addressing contemporary ecological and social challenges. His work connects theory, experimentation, and pedagogy, valuing craftsmanship, material relationships, and critical reflection on both local and global contexts. His work has been exhibited in Italy, France, Canada, Estonia and Sweden.
